Since the Oman Today Restaurant Awards began in 2002, they have come to be regarded as one of the benchmarks by which Muscat cuisine is judged. The customers are given the opportunity to award recognition and praise to the different strengths of their favourite restaurants. They are invited to select their favourite restaurants in 11 different categories.

For the past 27 years, Oman Today magazine has grown and gone from strength to strength alongside the hospitality industry in Oman. In many ways we are partners in an ongoing effort to promote Oman to the rest of the world and to encourage people living here to be more actively involved in everything Oman has to offer.

The awards create an atmosphere of healthy competition within the Oman hospitality industry, prompting the restaurants to perform to the best of their ability and maintain their high standards throughout the year. The Oman Today Best Restaurant Awards is an opportunity for all of us to reward the hard work of the hospitality industry workers and to raise their standards. Our numbers show just how popular the awards are among Muscat's diners, and how seriously the industry looks forward to these efforts.
