Emirates Bank inaugurates its latest branch in Jumeirah

Emirates Bank, which recently merged with National Bank of Dubai to establish Emirates NBD - expected to be the largest financial institution in the region by assets, has expanded once more its network of branches with the new Burj Al Arab branch located opposite Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The official inauguration was led by H.E Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates NBD in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Vice Chairman of Emirates NBD and other members of the new bank's board.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, special guests and members of the media were taken for a tour of the newly opened branch and then, invited to experience the Ramadan Fair that is held on the grounds of the branch and features wide array of attractive culture and heritage events along with Arabic sohour served by Zyara, in tents specially set up for this occasion. The Ramadan fair is open to the public during the whole month of Ramadan providing a glimpse of the cultural activities such as henna design, cooking traditional food, falcon show and a traditional exhibition. Emirates Bank customers will automatically avail of 50% discount on food and beverages.

Commenting on the newly opened Burj Al Arab branch, Mr. Rick Pudner, Emirates NBD CEO said,

"We are proud to introduce this branch as a state of the art of banking outlet. We are constantly planning new branch openings at various locations across the country to ensure convenient and efficient service to all our customers. We are confident that the Burj Al Arab branch will prove to be a very popular branch amongst residents and businesses in the area."


Pudner continued, "The Burj Al Arab Branch will provide its residential and commercial customers with a comfortable environment to tackle their banking needs. We hope that with the launch of this branch, we are contributing to the convenience of banking with Emirates NBD. Mr. Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Emirates NBD General Manager Consumer Banking and Wealth Management said, "Moving away from the conventional opening ceremonies, we have introduced a new concept by setting up a Ramadan tent this year, where we hope out clients and potential clients will spend memorable Ramadan evenings while enjoying the traditional activities in the cultural fair, done in synergy with the Dubai Heritage and Diving Village.."

Emirates Bank's Burj Al Arab branch is conveniently equipped with underground parking facility and has a 24-hour meBANKING area with ATMs and Instant Automated Cash and Cheque Deposit Machines. The branch comprises a generous retail banking area as well as its own Al Shaheen Club- the bank's priority banking service catering to the affluent individuals, the branch is set to efficiently tend to the needs of all retail customers.

The branch also has its own Corporate Banking Unit occupying the upper level of the building. CBUs are designed to serve organizations seeking banking services, whilst offering them additional corporate benefits.
