Sabre Travel Network Middle East announced the promotion of Osama Al Saad to Regional Technology Manager responsible for 11 countries throughout Sabre's Middle East group including the GCC, Egypt and the Levant.

Mr Al Saad will manage the vital technological operations which drive Sabre's connectivity with its customers and will head a robust team of 11 country technical leads and 55 technical support executives.

Mr Al Saad is tasked with analysing industry-related technological developments and in consultation with the commercial division, identifying solutions to meet market needs then designing a cohesive implementation plan. In addition, to enhance end users' experience, he will develop tailor-made technical solutions according to customer's individual requirements.

Within his division, he is responsible for management of all resources and ensuring that Sabre employees meet business requirements by maintaining and updating technical skill-sets via training and development.

Mr Al Saad's earlier positions with Sabre have included responsibilities for product development, communications and infrastructure. Prior to joining Sabre, he had accumulated an extensive background in the regional travel and tourism industry. His expertise spans the areas of global distribution systems, technical strategy and business development, project planning, development platforms, desktop and server operation systems, network design, as well as corporate training and development.
