Qatari violators cannot leave

Qatar's Department of Traffic and Patrol Police has said motorists who have outstanding fines will not be allowed to leave the country once a new law comes into force this week, reported the Peninsula. Potential violators can access the Ministry of Interior's website from October 2 to check for any possible fines. Meanwhile fines will increase at a rate of QR1 per day if they are not paid within 60 days.
