Autumn Trade Fair 2007 closes, top marks from exhibitors and visitors

Organised by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions, Autumn Trade Fair, Oman's largest shopping extravaganza has ended on a high note with more exhibitors, visitors and international flair.

Over 180,000 visitors came to the fair over a period of 9 days, an increase from last years 170,000 visitors. Being held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre the timings on the last day will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. to 12 midnight.

Capturing the general mood at the fair Mr. Babu Thomas, Manager of Al Khalul Colour Glass Division, said, 'We had a fabulous start to the show and the event has been able to pull huge crowds, but the key thing for us is that we are able to build a whole new customer base. Overall our participation in the 17th Autumn Trade Fair has increased awareness of our decorative glass in the market.'

The company specialises in high quality and creatively designed stain glass panels and resin leaded stain glass panels among others to adorn doors, windows, arches and domes. Al Khalul is also accomplished at air brushing on mirrors and glass, dome works and has introduced for the first time in Oman, crystal fixed designed glasses and glass with rain drop effects.

Many of the participating companies have already pledged to participate in the next years fair. The huge turnout this year has reiterated Autumn Trade Fair as Oman's largest and most important showcase of consumer products; and its reputation among exhibitors and visitors alike has soared to even greater heights.

Autumn Trade Fair showcased innovative products, with over 360 exhibitors, including leading companies from Oman and overseas exhibitors from China, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Egypt, UAE, Syria, Kuwait, KSA and Lebanon.
The general assessment among visitors was correspondingly positive. Hassan a visitor at the fair summed it up, 'With over 360 stalls, a wide assortment of products to choose from and affordable rates the event has been an enjoyable experience.'

The success of this fair will encourage a much greater number of international companies to participate in the 2008 Autumn Trade fair. Organisers, OITE expressed gratitude to the sponsors - Oman based OTE group, Syrian based apparel establishment Toutoungi Trading and Windows2000 for their support and participation. Special thanks to the exhibitors, visitors and the ROP for making the 17th Autumn Trade Fair a huge success. Oman International Trade & Exhibition (OITE) intends to arrange an even larger fair in 2008 and we look forward to an enthusiastic response next year as well.
