Reef Island flaunts its unique blend of architectural styles
- Bahrain: Sunday, September 30 - 2007 at 13:26
- PRESS RELEASE
The BD15mn infrastructure works which were initiated in August are scheduled for completion in February 2008.
Waleed Hayek, the Project Manager, said that the works on the project are proceeding as planned, from land acquisition, to land reclamation, to marine works, while simultaneously conducting the necessary architectural and engineering studies and designs.
"We are proud to bring forth such a unique modern and luxurious project that offers quality designs inspired by a blend of Asian, Middle Eastern and European architecture. Reef Island truly is a fusion of architectural styles," said Waleed Hayek, the Project Manager.
With its strategic location minutes away from the center of Manama, the Financial District and the airport, Reef Island constitutes a private paradise in the heart of the city offering its residents a modern lifestyle. "It prides us to announce that 31% of the project was purchased by Bahraini citizens followed by other GCC citizens mainly Saudis. We wanted to create something extraordinary that will stand out in the region and become a landmark, at the same time it had to be something beautiful and perfect.
Reef Island is 100% residential, thus offers its residents a unique lifestyle. All the buildings on the island are low-rise buildings, except for the Icon tower, the Island's landmark. Those buildings cover less than 40% of the total land area, thus providing
a distinctive environment with lots of green areas and public parks," said Hayek.
Hayek indicated that all building materials used in the construction of the project were carefully selected to comply with the nature of the environment and climate in general based on numerous studies conducted to ensure the highest quality and durability of the project units, while respecting the environment and maintaining the beauty aspect of the project.
"Guided by the vision of the Mouawad Group's chairman, Robert Mouawad, we are dedicated to providing the utmost quality and the high standards of living to buyers and investors who seek a unique lifestyle. We believe Reef Island will be one of the most prominent success stories in Bahrain and in the region," explained Hayek.
"The island of bliss in the heart of the city," Reef Island features 65 villas, 39 residential buildings, 49 beach villas, a shopping complex, a wellness center, a yacht club and a 5-star hotel and spa. The total cost of the project is $1.3bn.
Reef Island's marketing campaign will be launched in November and will be marked by the unveiling of the state-of-the-art model at a private ceremony which will be taking place at the Marketing Tent on the island.
