Award-winning UK and United Arab Emirates-based wireless and telecommunications company Purple Patch, an exhibitor at the UK Gitex Trade Pavilion, launched the system which uses a small digital camera linked to a laptop in a backpack incorporating wireless technology to provide pictures and sound to prospective buyers connected to the internet on a computer.
Introduced into the Middle East market for the first time, the Livetime2 system has been piloted in Italy, France, Ireland and Scotland. Now Dubai property developers and agents can provide live and interactive 'show rounds' of their properties to potential customers around the world, reducing the costs of international travel.
'Our state of the art technology enables a live broadcast of a development to potential clients via their computer screens anywhere in the world,' said Steve Higgins, CEO of Purple Patch which has set up its Middle East headquarters at Dubai Media City recently.
Purple Patch received the Most Innovative Use of Technology Award at the WiFi and 3G Summit in London. The company's product range includes hotspot and wireless solutions, Bluetooth and WiMax as well as video security solution.
