Dubai once again made its presence felt at the leading international autumn trade fair for tourism in Russia and CIS held in Moscow's 20,000 sq mts large 'Crocus Expo' from September 25 to 28.

Headed by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) team including its Director Overseas Promotions Mr Khalifa Ali Buamaim and Deputy Director, Mr Saleh Al Geziry, the influential travel trade show had 53 participants from Dubai including 24 hotels and 25 travel agencies besides Dubai's homegrown festivals of Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises, Ski Dubai and Mall of the Emirates.

Mr Khalifa Ali Buamaim expressed great satisfaction with the outcome of Dubai's participation in the expo as he said that once again the Dubai delegation has been successful in attracting an increased number of Russian and global attendees who showed a heightened interest in 'everything' Dubai especially its upcoming new projects. On their part, the participants too showed their satisfaction with the outcome of the expo which they felt provided them ample opportunities to attract new contacts in the field.

With so much on offer, Mr Ali Buamaim expected a larger number of Russians to visit Dubai in the coming months.

The department has been successfully promoting Dubai as one of the world's leading international leisure and business destinations, especially in the Russian and CIS markets. Dubai has been generating unprecedented interest in this part of the world, especially the real estate and tourism sectors.
