International Emirates Management for Quality (IeMQ), a leading consulting firm providing a total approach for strategy, change management and business intelligence, and Emirates Quality Association (EQA), a professional association that enhances the message of excellence and business improvement throughout the UAE, today (October 1st, 2007) announced the official launch of the first Abu Dhabi Quest for Excellence Summit 2007, a high-profile gathering for UAE and GCC-based executives that will be held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on October 29, 2007.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the pioneering Summit will serve as a platform to showcase the unique styles of leadership among the most distinguished and highly successful GCC leaders, aiming to impart their exceptional management experience, expertise and achievements to an expected audience of 600 decision makers from the region.

"We are confident that executives will greatly benefit from the highly informative comments from the personalities who have helped stimulate the strong performance of the region both in the public, semi-government and private sectors. IeMQ believes that continuous learning from real-life experiences is an excellent way to improve performance, especially in today's rapidly evolving business world," said Badria Al Mulla, president of IEMQ, Vice President of EQA, and Summit Steering Committee Chairman, during the launch event at the Sheraton Corniche in Abu Dhabi.

"The Summit is directly in line with the mission of EQA, which is to contribute towards excellence and the continued business growth of the region. We are confident that this executive forum will inspire and empower delegates, and eventually be a catalyst towards the creation of a world-class management pool in the GCC region," said Professor Hadi Eltigani, Quality and Business Excellence Director at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of EQA and Summit Vice President.

The Summit, which is open to all executives, seeks to outline the central role of quality and change management approaches in overcoming challenges and achieving excellence. It also aims to establish enhanced networking initiatives to promote best practices, knowledge sharing and closer cooperation between organizations working in the government, semi-government and the private sectors in the UAE and the region.

Several high-profile speakers will be featured during the event, stemming from a variety of backgrounds including economic planning, trade organizations, government, the Oil and Gas industry, e-government, education, and even the film industry. Delegates at the Summit will include board members, chief executive officers, general managers and other top management executives from organizations in the government, semi-government and private sectors in the UAE and GCC.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the key strategic sponsor of the event, with other strategic sponsors including the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, Group Plus and Sorouh. The event is being managed by Stylishzone, while the Summit Academic and Technology partners are the University of Wollongong in Dubai and Etisalat, respectively.
