Emirates, Official FIFA Partner and Official Airline of FIFA Women's World Cup 2007.
Emirates, Official FIFA Partner and Official Airline of FIFA Women's World Cup 2007, was there to join in the excitement, inviting more than 20 students from East China Normal University in Shanghai to watch the championship finale.
Maurice Flanagan, Emirates' Executive Vice Chairman Emirates Airline and Group said: "Yesterday's FIFA Women's World Cup final symbolises the way Emirates links the world through sport, and is indicative of the strategic nature of our sponsorship portfolio. The tournament was held in China, and played between Brazil and Germany. We offer excellent services to China and Germany and today, we launched services to our first destination in South America - Sao Paulo in Brazil."
Throughout the month long campaign, the Fly Emirates branding was seen prominently at the stadium and on television. Following its highly successful involvement with the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, Emirates became a FIFA Partner until 2014. Emirates is a keen supporter of football, and sponsors the Arsenal Football Club, and has the naming rights of Emirates Stadium, the club's new home. Emirates also sponsors Hamburger SV, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan.
Emirates offers 38 weekly services to China - double dailies to Beijing, a daily to Shanghai and 17 flights to Hong Kong. The airline will offer double dailies to Shanghai from February 2008. Emirates offers 49 weekly services to Germany - double dailies to Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf, and a daily to Hamburg.
