Workshop on UAE Government Strategy concludes in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi workshop on UAE Government Strategy, organised by the Prime Minister's Office in collaboration with the Dubai School of Government, came to a successful conclusion on 27th September.

Attended by senior officials responsible for drafting the UAE Federal authorities' strategic plans, the five-day workshop followed a similar meeting held in Dubai between 18-24 September. The two workshops marked the third stage of implementation of the UAE Government Strategy.

The meetings aimed to enhance the federal officials' understanding of the UAE Government Strategy, its vision, mechanism and objectives, while ensuring the successful implementation of the its objectives.

In her opening remark Ohood Al Roumi, the Executive Director of the Prime Minister's Office, presented an overview of the UAE Government Strategy and its objectives. She highlighted the importance of synergising the strategic plans of each federal entity to achieve unified goals.

Mona Kazem, Director of Government Performance Department, briefed the participants on developing government performance management systems and key performance indicators. She explained how the department supports ministries and government entities to evolve their organisational management strategies.

Dr. Tarek A. Hatem, Professor of Management at the American University in Cairo and Associate Lecturer at Dubai School of Government, along with Hassan Khudair, a Senior Management Consultant at the Prime Minister's Office, led the discussions during the workshops in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Earlier in March, representatives of the ministerial strategic planning teams attended two workshops on the UAE Government Strategy.
