Dubai Customs General Manager acknowledges inspectors

In an acknowledgment various successful efforts, Dubai Customs Director General Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, praised in a ceremony held at Dubai Customs headquarters, the inspectors who were involved in foiling various illegal activities into the UAE, in the presence of their respective managements.
The inspectors and their managers received acknowledgement certificates and prizes.
This move reflects the great importance Dubai Customs devote to the efforts of their inspectors who are the first line of defense against all the harmful goods jeopardizing the life and safety of the society in addition to safeguarding the intellectual property rights.
Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Director General of Dubai Customs expressed his pride in Dubai Customs inspectors who are protecting the safety and security of the society and who represent the efficient shield on all port of entries, preventing smugglers from endangering the lives of families and children.
Dubai Customs Director General praised the efforts of Dubai Customs inspectors who are the watchful eye on all ports of entry safeguarding the security of the UAE and who prevented real catastrophes from occurring should these drugs and fake medicines succeeded in entering the country .
The appraisal ceremony comes after Dubai Customs Center at Dubai International Airport succeeded in foiling the smuggling of 47 kilograms of Heroin worth million of dollars which was considered the biggest attempt ever, In addition to the confiscation of Five Million tablets of sexual stimulants and sedative drugs worth more than Dhs20m, in addition to thousands of expired food products packs, during a raid carried out by Dubai Customs' inspectors in a warehouse of a company operating at Jebel Ali Free Zone Area (JAFZA).
