Credit crisis hurts IPO market

Initial public offerings came to a virtual halt last month in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets due to credit market fears, reported Rueters citing a report by market research firm Dealogic. In September, total IPO volume in EMEA markets plunged 91%, compared to the same month last year, to US$524m.
