Kuwait firms blast bourse rule

Many publicly traded Kuwaiti companies believe the country's new stock exchange rules could harm the development of firms and prompt them to list on foreign bourses, reported Reuters. Almost a quarter of companies listed on the Kuwait exchange said in full page advertisements in local newspapers that they were troubled by the bourse's announcement on Monday that it would suspend trading in shares of companies that buy into or sell out to firms the bourse has previously turned down for listing.
