  • PRESS RELEASE

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, renowned for its chic style and superb location, completed a successful first year of operations recently, having carved a lucrative niche in the Dubai accommodation market through a continuous roll out of new facilities and services.

The luxury resort, which is currently Kempinski's only Dubai property, has become a popular leisure and business destination for travelers from both the GCC and abroad.

"It's been an exciting first year, with the introduction of our additional facilities and service features, we went from being a hotel to a fully fledged resort with the most comprehensive leisure, shopping, wellness, and entertainment facilities available. We look forward to continuing this trend of innovation over the coming year", said Michael Henssler, General Manager, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.

Among the additions since the launch are the luxurious Ski Chalets that offer fantastic views of the ski slope on one side, and the Arabian Gulf on the other. At an equally impressive standard are the Presidential Suites and Penthouse featuring unmatched comfort and lavish amenities. Offering guests some well deserved pampering the ultimately serene Softouch Spa opened earlier this year specialising in Aryuvedic and international treatments along with a state-of-the art health club featuring an infinity edge lap pool, steam room, sauna. Providing superior grooming services and Hollywood hair, the UAE's first branch of world renowned Dessange coiffure also opened on the 3rd floor of the hotel.

The hotel of choice for many celebrities visiting Dubai, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has hosted high profile sportspeople, politicians and entertainers including BoyzIIMen, Shaggy, R&B diva Lauryn Hill, Soccer legend Lawrence Seedorf, best-selling British author Sir Jeffrey Archer and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Thani, Rotana TV's Dr. Hala Sarhan, Egyptian 'A' list actor and actress Mr. Noun El Sherif and Ms. Yousra respectively and 'A' list movie director Ms. Inas El Deghedy among many others.

Gaining both public and industry recognition, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates was amongst the big winners at the 2007 MENA Travel Awards, claiming both the "Best New 5-Star Hotel" and "Best Tourism Project" awards. Sezzam, characterized by its unique and creative dining concept, was voted "Best Family Restaurant" at the 2007 Time Out Awards, as well as being awarded the "Best Pastry Chef" honour from Salon Culinaire 2007. Not long after opening the hotel was also cited as one of the "World's 15 Coolest Hotels" according to Travel + Leisure, a prestigious and widely circulated hospitality magazine.

"What makes the past year truly worth looking back on is the overwhelming feedback we have received from our guests, who have come from all over the world. Looking ahead, we are committed to raising the bar even higher for the services that we pride ourselves on." Henssler ended.
