Emirates concludes North American roadshows with Dallas finale

Leading up to Emirates' launch of services in Houston and Toronto, the airline has hosted its final North American roadshow in Dallas.

The event was the finale for a full month of roadshow events across North America, securing a collective attendance of nearly 4,000 travel industry professionals from Calgary to Miami.

The tour kicked-off on 29th August in Houston, followed by Miami on 6th September, Toronto on 19th September, Calgary on 24th September and ended with the Dallas event on 28th September.

Commenting on the Houston route in Dallas, Nigel Page, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, The Americas said: 'Not only will the new route help promote Dubai and transit markets to America's south and southwest, it will also promote tourism, business and leisure travel to the southern United States from around the world.'

On the Dubai-Houston route, Emirates will operate the technologically-advanced Boeing 777-200LR, the latest addition to its expanding fleet of over 100 wide-bodied aircraft. This aircraft features eight luxurious private suites in First Class, 42 of its latest lie-flat seats in Business and has a generous space for 216 passengers in Economy. The Boeing 777-200LR will also offer shippers up to 14 tonnes of cargo capacity.

Emirates currently employs over 8,000 cabin crew representing more than 100 nationalities. In total Emirates employs over 200 Americans within the entire group of which there are 114 American flight crew.

The schedule for the non-stop service will be:
Flight timings for Emirates' Dubai-Houston service (starting 3rd December 2007)

EK211
Departs Dubai (DXB) at 09:05 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays,
and arrives in Houston (IAH) at 16:10hrs

EK212
Departs Houston at 18:25 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
and arrives in Dubai at 19:35 hrs the next day

Houston is Emirates' second gateway in the United States and one of several new destinations on Emirates' fast expanding international route network, which currently stands at 94 destinations in 60 countries. In addition to Houston, Emirates will also introduce non-stop services from Dubai to Venice, Newcastle, Sao Paulo, Toronto and Ahmedabad this year.
