One fanoos can draw a smile on an Orphan's face

The organization that Wafi is supporting this year is the Red Crescent, which is a UAE based charity organization, and the donations collected from activities will go to UAE orphans.

The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent (UAERC) is a national, humanitarian and voluntary authority that provides aid and assistance to the vulnerable without discrimination as in nationality, race, gender, colour, religion, political, or ideological beliefs. Their mission is to provide aid and assistance to people in need, rescue the grieved, relief the victims, wipe the tears and draw smiles.
The key activity for this Holy month in Wafi is the oasis pool that has been created for donations. If you donate a minimum of AED 10 you will get the chance to light up your own fanoos and watch it sail in the oasis pool. Since the fanoos lantern is one of the main symbols of Ramadan, it will give Wafi's customers an experience in a magical atmosphere creating a glowing oasis in the centre of the mall.
