This visit was marked by an exchange of knowledge, experience and plan to strengthen ties between the Dubai and Singapore.
The delegation was greeted by Dr. Mohammad Al Zarooni, DSOA Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Office who briefed the group on the Technology Park's latest developments and initiatives. During the course of this visit the two entities exchanged their learning's from their Information Technology sectors.
The visiting delegation was given a thorough presentation of DSO's operations, on what the park offers in terms of facilities to potential investors and how to establish operations within the oasis.
H.E. Dileap Nair, Consul General of Singapore in Dubai, said: 'It is our pleasure to have visited Dubai Silicon Oasis and we take this opportunity to acknowledge the revolutionary development it has made in the fields of Information technology and further growth for the IT sector in Middle East at large.'
Through the talks held, the visiting delegation commended on DSO's progression since inception and the vital role it plays in the Middle Eastern semiconductors, microelectronics, telecommunications and computer-production industries. They also acknowledged that DSO is the only Technology Park in the region to specialize in offering IT companies the platform and systems required to make it a frontrunner globally.
Dr. Zarouni said: 'Singapore is renowned for its technological achievements and advancements around the world. Dubai Silicon Oasis is pleased to take this opportunity to build strong ties with Singapore to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the industry. At DSO, we hope to share an equal interest in forming mutual cooperative agreements between both parties.'
Dubai Silicon Oasis has successfully attracted a myriad of international companies to establish their operations within the park and is currently arranging for the transfer of more related companies.
