CGC presents Best Nokia Dealer Awards

Recognising the best efforts of its business partners to achieve new milestone, Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC) presented its 2nd Annual Dealer Excellence Awards at a glittering Iftar function in Dana Club, Doha.

A total of eight awards, consisting of plaques, were presented by CGC officials to Nokia dealers from across the country for their excellent performance.

CGC's CEO Munther Khalid, Head - Business Development Anil Mahajan, Finance Manager Tawfeeq Salem and other senior officials received the distinguished guests, which included about 200 top corporate leaders, CGC business partners and clients, Nokia dealers and media personnel among others.

Welcoming the guests, Munther Khalid said, "We are delighted to have a very august gathering to celebrate the occasion and cheer our partners, who have put their best to achieve excellence in Nokia business. Our Annual Dealer Awards are an attempt to recognise the efforts of our valued partners."

Addressing the gathering, Anil Mahajan said, "It's our combined efforts, hard work, determination and 15 long years strong association with Nokia, one of the world's top most brands, which have made us the leader in the country's mobile telephony domain, commanding over 80% market share. We are thankful to the people of Qatar, our esteemed clients, partners and dealers for trusting us and as a total IT, Telecom and Mobile telephony solutions provider once again vow to work even harder to meet the fast changing needs of the people of Qatar."

Extending his heartiest congratulations to the winners, Tawfeeq Salem said, "The Annual Iftar Get-together is a testimony to the company's belief in creating and maintaining strong ties with our valued clients, partners and dealers. The holy month of Ramadan provides us a perfect opportunity to gather and strengthen our existing ties and evolve new alliances to provide best possible care and comfort to the customers. As always, we are determined and committed to work for the betterment of our dealer partners."

Among a host of nominees, Carrefour at City Center was adjudged the Best Sales Award winner in the Basic Phone category, while Digital House was presented with the Best Sales Award in Multimedia section. Qatar Duty Free was declared winner of the Best Sales (Enterprise) Award and Ghasham was bestowed with the Best Overall Sales Award. The Best Retail Concept Award was given to Virgin Megastore (Intertel), while Asrar was honoured with Highest Growth Award. Al-Anees cornered the Best Enhancement Partner Award and Carrefour at Villagio won Special Appreciation Award among the galaxy of nominees, which included Dream Phones, Olympia, Hotline, Cellucom, Starlink, Skynet, Maxcell, Safari and Super Phones. The winners were decided on the basis of their overall annual performance.
