The event is under the patronage of H.E Dr Mohammad Saleh Al Sada, Minister of State for Energy & Industry Affairs and in cooperation with Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This is the third meet of its kind organized by GOIC and it covers presentation of five projects from diversified sectors. Chemicals and petrochemicals are one of the area covered. Petrochemicals and chemicals industry sector constitute a vital fragment of any growing economy in the world.

The Middle East region is poised to influence the growing global chemical and petrochemicals market due to its favorable feedstock scenario. Independent market research consultants estimate that by the year 2010, the Middle East countries will produce about 20% of the world's petrochemicals and polymers, mostly driven by exports.

This offers a great potential for setting up many chemical and petrochemical downstream projects in the GCC countries. GOIC has identified two such projects and will present these projects during the Meet. The participants will be able to attend the presentation of all five projects and will get a copy of each of the five reports. They will also be able to take part in the discussions with experts and technology suppliers.
