The MoU was signed by H.E. Yunis Haji Al Khouri, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Industry (MoFI), and Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

The MOU grants Injazat Data Systems a period of three months to assess and identify the IT needs of the Ministry. At the end of the transition period, the scope of IT services to be provided by Injazat Data Systems will then be determined and stipulated in an IT services agreement to be signed by both parties.

H.E. Al Khouri, Undersecretary of the MoFI, said: "In the framework of compliance with the principles of the Federal Government strategy, the Ministry supports the modern techniques since they support our efforts to achieve a quantum leap in the pursuit of our objectives. The ministry has succeeded in developing and using a range of electronic systems and specialized programs that have contributed in upgrading government performance, and improving the level of services provided by the ministry to other government agencies as well as a large number of private individuals and organisations."

"The programs developed by the ministry have attracted significant private sector support, proving these programs are efficient and effective when applied to Federal Government transactions such as The Electronic Derham and The Electronic Procurement System, The Electronic Industrial System and others," said H.E. Al Khouri.

H.E. Al Khouri added: "The ministry is keen to adopt a continually evolving approach in order to keep pace with modern developments and requirements needed to shift to electronic-based governance, in which the UAE has been a proactive advocate."

H.E. Al Khouri, said: "Injazat Data Systems has successfully worked with many government organisations, and we are convinced that the company can deliver the results we desire. Injazat has a reputable track record in both the private and public sectors, and also enjoys a significant edge with its comprehensive understanding of distinct local requirements being an Abu Dhabi-based company. We are looking forward to benefiting from Injazat Data Systems' world-class IT services that will help the Ministry effectively carry out its critical responsibilities."

Under the terms of the MoU, Injazat Data Systems will be responsible for accommodating all the IT services requirements of the Ministry, assessing the size and complexity of the Ministry's operations to determine the appropriate IT services, and submitting a joint proposal for the structure of the potential transitional administration. In return, the Ministry of Finance will enable Injazat Data Systems to access and work at all relevant sites and offices of the Ministry.

"We will carefully study all the IT requirements of the Ministry of Finance to ensure that we can deliver a comprehensive IT services solution. The Ministry plays a critical role in the economic development of the country, and thus requires only the most reliable and secure IT services, which Injazat Data Systems is committed to provide," said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.
