Qatar Sainsbury deal closer

The board of the UK's J Sainsbury retail chain is close to recommending the $21.6bn takeover bid from the Delta Two investment fund, which is backed by the Qatar Investment Authority, reported Reuters citing the Independent on Sunday newspaper. It is believed Sainsbury's pension trustees, who have been holding out for a lump sum to back the deal, have reached an agreement with Delta Two.
