Tameer, Cityscape 2007 Golden Sponsor, unveils its first project in Jordan

Tameer, Golden Sponsor of Cityscape 2007, will unveil "Madinat Al Majd" as its first project in Jordan, offering units in the $500 million project for public sale during this exhibition.

Eng. Mohamed Habib, General manager for Tameer International, the arm of the Tameer Holding Jordan, said: "This is the first year for Tameer's International team to participate in Cityscape. Our participation will underline the strategic importance that a huge project like "Madinat Al Majd" brings to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and reflects our determination to explore all avenues of cooperation and investment."

"Cityscape is our opportunity to show off the extensive master planning and models depicting our investment in Jordan," he added.

"Madinat Al Majd", the first, modern gated community to be designed and developed according to Tameer's international standards in Jordan, is expected to be a significant architectural landmark as Jordan continues to emerge as a property developer's haven..

"Madinat Al Majd" will provide state of the art amenities that exceed customers' needs and real estate observers' expectations. With its 18,500 residential units in an area of 2 million sq m, "Madinat Al Majd" is developed to provide a wide segment of the community with homes in a healthy environment that contains schools, hospitals, medical and community centers, play grounds, commercial units, offices, retail shops, and shopping centers.

In addition to its capacity to take more than 50,000 people, "Madinat Al Majd" is located on the main highway leading to Zarqa'a city, some 5km from that city and 25km from the capital Amman. "Madinat Al Majd" is also close to all public services and governmental centers and both the Hashemite and Private Zarqa Universities.

Habib went on to explain that "Madinat Al Majd" embodies the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II of giving every Jordanian family the opportunity to acquire adequate housing. "Why pay rent when a Jordanian citizen can now own a house in a city that enjoys ideal typography with natural lighting and ventilation system for the same monthly payment?" Habib said.

The official launch of "Madinat Al Majd" is the latest addition to Tameer's long list of projects, which include the "Princess Tower", one of the tallest residential towers in the world, the "Elite Residence" that is located at the heart of Dubai Marina, "Al Salam City", a gated community that will house more than 350,000 people and "Madinat Al Hana", the largest property development project in North Africa, to name a few.

Tameer's 650 sq m stand at Cityscape 07 demonstrates its extensive projects for visitors, investors and owners of development companies from around the region.
