fdi Dubai 2007 attracts over 20,000 delegates and 3,000 exhibitors from 165 countries around the globe

The Organizing Committee of fdi Dubai 2007, the Dental Congress to be held in Dubai, today announced in a press conference that the Congress has attracted more than 20,000 delegates from around the world.

To be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Congress will be organised between October 24 and 27, 2007 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

5,000 international delegates have already registered for the Congress, besides 3,700 regional experts and 1,700 local delegates. The Congress has registered participation of over 10,000 trade visitors from across the globe.

A total of 3,000 exhibitors have confirmed their participation at the World Dental Exhibition, to be held on the sidelines of the Congress. The exhibition will showcase state-of-the-art advanced dental technology, equipment and products.

Announcing details about the Congress, Qadhi Al Murooshid, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, said: "The participation of over 20,000 delegates is actually a clear indicator of the both the interest of the global dental sector in the fdi Congress and the potential that the Middle East and particularly Dubai has to offer. We are confident that the Congress and the Exhibition will be a grand success."

The Organizing Committee also unveiled details about its preparation for the Congress, right from the arrival of delegates to facilitating their entrance through special gates and dedicated entry visas counters, to their transportation facilities in addition to all security procedures and cultural events.

Al Murooshid emphasised the need to highlight Dubai as a real host city and said: "We have ensured the best of facilities and comfort for all the visiting delegates to extend an unforgettable experience in Dubai."
