With 12% more exhibitors (in total: 269) and 22% more visitors (in total: 6,300) the show was held successfully in 2007.
One of the drivers for the growth is the ideal timing of the 2008 event. The new show dates are May 25th to 27th, 2008, which fit perfectly in the region's business calendar. The show will again take place in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sheikh Rashid Hall and Sheikh Maktoum Hall.
Three trade shows focusing on interior products and design will be staged on the same dates and in the same venue. These shows with the topics lighting, kitchen and bath products and garden and landscaping design have attracted many interior designers and architects in the past years and will bring a significant higher number of interior designers and architects to all shows.
DOMOTEX MIDDLE EAST 2008 will be launched to the market in October. The organizers expect a large demand for the available space and that the show will be sold out within a couple of months. "A lot of the market leaders that were present this year informed already about the available locations and are enthusiastic to be present again at the leading trade show for carpets and floor coverings in the region" says Angela Schaschen, managing director of Deutsche Messe Branch Dubai.
The expected development of DOMOTEX Middle East matches with the growth of DOMOTEX Hannover launched in 1985 and held annually in January since then and the booming DOMOTEXasia/ CHINAFLOOR launched in 1999 and held every year in March.
