Promoseven Weber Shandwick appoints new managing director

Promoseven Weber Shandwick has appointed Ziad Hasbani as Managing Director of the company's Dubai office.

Ziad moves to Weber Shandwick after having established and lead GolinHarris' Middle East operation in Dubai as Managing Director. Ziad has been in the communication industry for more than 16 years working in major Middle Eastern markets.

Ziad has an in-depth knowledge and experience having worked on major international and regional brands in the energy sector, real estate development, automotive, luxury and the tourism industry. Prior to joining GolinHarris, Ziad handled Gulf Space International, Al Jazeera Satellite Channel's media representative company in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Besides public affairs, government relations and crisis management, he focused on developing marketing and communications strategies for the clients he handled throughout the Middle East region.

A graduate of the American University of Beirut with a multicultural background, Ziad is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Italian.

Announcing the joining of Ziad at Weber Shandwick, MCN President and CEO, Fadi Salameh said "I think we've identified a leader, a strategic PR thinker, and a hard working do-er. I've known Ziad for a while, and he has always been on our radar. This is a big step in the right direction for Promoseven Weber Shandwick in the region." Salameh recently concluded talks with Weber Shandwick global on taking the agency brand further and moving the agency into the next generation of PR and image management services. "PR is growing very fast in this region, and we need to stay a step ahead. I am convinced Ziad will help lead our operation into that bright future" he added.
