The talks held between the two sides focussed on ways to enhance economic cooperation, and the setting up of joint projects in Senegal.
During the talks, the Senegalese President stressed the need for increased cooperation between the two sides, and welcomed the pioneering steps taken by Dubai World in his country. His Excellency Wade pointed out that his government will make available all resources required by Dubai World in its execution of its projects. He also expressed his desire for Senegal to benefit from Dubai World's expertise in real estate development, tourism, ports and the free zone sectors.
The accompanying delegation comprised Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman of DP World and Group CEO, Ports and Free Zones World, Mohammed Sharaf, the CEO of DP World; Mrs. Salma Hareb, the CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World; Saeed Ahmad Saeed, the CEO of Limitless, and a number of high-ranking officials and executives of the Dubai World group.
a one-to-one meeting was held between the Senegalese President and Mr. Bin Sulayem after an Iftar hosted for the Dubai World delegation, during which the two discussed the possible projects that can be executed in Senegal in different fields with special emphasis on ports and special economic zones, tourism and real estate sectors.
Mr. Bin Sulayem held further talks with the Senegalese Prime Minister Cheikh Hadjibou Soumare during which they discussed ways of implementing certain projects which Dubai World is contemplating in Senegal.

His Excellency Abdoulaye Wade, the President of the Republic of Senegal, received on Monday His Excellency Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem, Chairman Dubai World, who was accompanied by a high level delegation including senior officials of the group.
