Radisson SAS Resort, El Quseir achieves TUI Environmental Champion accreditation

The certification introduced by the German tourism and shipping group to provide customers with clear and detailed information on the environmental commitment of its world-wide hotel partners.

The 250-room resort also received the Responsible Business Award within The Rezidor Hotel Group earlier this year for its environmental concern and community involvement.

"We will continue to mark our presence in El Quseir with our Responsible Business initiatives. For example, we recently introduced solar buggies to transport people through the resort premises, an energy saving service and the first of its kind in Egypt,"

said Pascal Gadet, General Manager at the Radisson SAS Resort, El Quseir.

"In addition we also actively recruit staff from the fishermen's town to invest in the local workforce with unique tools such as a library for self learning and education."

The resort is also involved in other activities such as working closely with a local orphanage as well as organising the annual El Quseir marathon, an initiative from the resort, involving guests and the local community to run together to raise funds for childhood related charities.

Furthermore, health and wellbeing are at the very core of the resort which offers authentic South Indian ayurvedic treatments in the
'Rejuvenation Centre and Spa' as well as a fully equipped diving centre located along the 750 meter wide sandy beach.
