"Always strongly represented at Index, the wide diversity of Italian interiors creativity is of special interest to the many thousands of interiors professionals who visit the show," said Kim Willis, Exhibition Development Director of dmg world media Dubai, organisers of the event. "Architects, designers and specifiers visit Index every year to see the latest designs and product innovations from Italy, and Index 2007 won't disappoint, as it will feature over 200 leading Italian companies."

The variety of Italian products to be shown this year encompasses every aspect of the interiors sector, from stylish furniture and beautiful textiles through to high quality fixtures and fittings such as door handles, effectively offering visitors a complete shop window of everything that makes Italian interiors design so desired across the Middle East region.

Art Emporium, established in Florence in 1983, will show a wide range of products encompassing complementary furnishing apparel, high fashion jewellery and interior design fitting/apparel for the furnishing sector - this includes made to order paintings and sculptures in marble, bronze and copper, furnishing apparel in Murano glass, crystal, candles and decorative features in marble, bronze and copper, plus a unique range of linen to suit all requirements.

The transformation of a handle from a simple functional element to a furnishing component capable of personalising a room, has always been the philosophy of another leading Italian exhibitor, Valli&Valli, which has over 70 years of experience in combining style with functional quality. The company has built a worldwide reputation through its know-how and expertise in working with and transforming brass and a unique alloy, Nikrall, which has seen it add distinctive touches that characterise every one of their products, scrupulously studied from both an aesthetical and functional viewpoint thus fulfilling the real demands of the end user.

The range includes "Medicea", the first series designed by Pasquale Valli, to contemporary designs and the combination of materials such as Murano glass, porcelain and ebony with the richness and durability of brass. The wide range of handles, pull handles and knobs includes two different types: the most well known being that for doors and windows is marketed alongside one of furniture fittings for different environments, including kitchens included.

The diverse product range is completed by a series of coordinated accessories such as escutcheons and door keys, privacy sets, inset handles, hooks, coathooks, switch-covers, door stops and door knockers. Another offering from the company and one that diversifies the production and that is part of this trade-mark is composed of accessories and complementary collections for the bathroom, created by the most renowned designers and architects.

"Italy's participation at Index 2007, in terms of both the official Italian pavilion that is organised by Federlegno Arredo and the many independent Italian interiors companies that also take part, means that it is once again one of the largest, most important countries at the show this year," added Willis.

Visitors to Index 2007, which celebrates its 17th anniversary this year, can source from a comprehensive selection of interiors products and services - the fact that the product profile includes furniture, textiles, flooring, wall coverings, window products, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, ceramics, interior architecture, accessories, interior design services and furniture production is one of the key attributes that has seen it grow dramatically over the years, both in size and the number of professional visitors that see it as an essential visit.

"Index 2007, which takes place from 1-5 November at Dubai International Exhibition Centre, is the largest and most essential meeting place for the interiors industry in the region, and is globally acknowledged as one of the world's most significant interiors events," concluded Willis.
