The Children of Princess Basma Development Centre - Save the Children Jordan enjoy Iftar at Le Méridien Amman Hotel

The children and teachers of the Princess Basma Development Centre- Save the Children Jordan, which supports poor and marginalized children and families, enjoyed a special Iftar hosted by Le Méridien Amman Hotel.

The Iftar aims at providing a highly memorable Ramadan experience as part of the Hotel's on going efforts to support and cater to the needs of underprivileged children.

Forty five children ages 8 to 12 and ten teachers enjoyed a lavish Iftar buffet, followed by an entertainment show, a special appearance by Quieky the bunny, face painting and other fun kids' activities. The children also received special Ramadan giveaways and balloons from Le Méridien to take home with them.

Bassam Banna, Director of Sales & Marketing said: "All of us at Le Méridien Amman look forward to the Holy month of Ramadan because it is the time of the year when giving and supporting your local community has never been so important. We hosted an Iftar for the children of the Princess Basma Development Center- Save the Children Jordan so together we can share in the Ramadan experience that the most unfortunate of circumstances have denied them."

The Princess Basma Development Centre- Save the Children Jordan aims at providing women with social services and supporting children with care, especially during their pre-school years, to prepare them for integration into the social environment.

This is the second consecutive charity Iftar that Le Méridien hosts; last year's was for the children of Mabarrat Um El Hussein, one of Jordan's finest orphanages.
