German travel agents get a taste of Ramadan

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) co-sponsored nine separate familiarization trips for 85 German travel agents during the Holy Month of Ramadan in order to update them about the UAE culture and to provide insights into Dubai's latest tourist attractions, new projects and developments.

The first batch of 20 top travel agents from Europe's biggest Tour Operators, TUI Leisure Travel, came in on a fam trip between September 13 and 16. The group flew in with Emirates airline and stayed at Downtown Dubai's Al Manzil Hotel.

Another batch of 14 travel agents came in courtesy of DTCM, Emirates airline and Europe's biggest cruise operator, Costa Cruises between September 25 and 29. The group flew in with Emirates airline and accommodation was provided by Jebel Ali International Hotels with two nights stay at Oasis Beach Tower and two nights at Palm Tree Court.

The Jebel Ali International Hotels also escorted the visitors and additionally sponsored a Bateaux Dubai Dinner Cruise as well as site tours of both hotels.

DTCM also organised seven fam trips for 48 travel agents between September 13 and October 1 in association with Lufthansa, Al Bustan Rotana, Accor Sofitel (Sofitel City Centre & Novotel WTC), Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort, Radisson SAS Hotel - Dubai Media City, Crowne Plaza Dubai and JW Marriott Dubai.
