Al Ghazal Transport revamps pay scheme for drivers

Under the new system, bonus entitlements and salary increases are individually calculated according to the number of years a driver worked for the company. A new incentive scheme was also introduced for the drivers.

Ghulam Ahmed Mohamed Ahmad, Acting General Manager of Al Ghazal Transport said the new incentive and salary systems are aimed at boosting staff morale and encouraging them to continue their excellent performance during the past years. "Our employees' loyalty and commitment are the key elements to the success of Al Ghazal, which is now recognized as one of the best transportation companies in the UAE. We would like to return the goodwill to our drivers who are our partners in the company's more than two decades of success."

"We have also adapted an internal listening system where employees can contact the management about their suggestions and complaints. As our front liners, their opinions are very important and would help greatly in the management's planning and decision-making, and in raising our standards of service," Ahmad added.

Last month, Al Ghazal Transport hosted an Iftar gathering in Abu Dhabi where it also honoured its long-serving employees. The Iftar was attended by senior managers and employees of ADNH.

Al Ghazal Transport has one of the largest fleet of vehicles in the UAE. Its fleet of luxury cars provides special limousine services for VIPs. Other services that the company operates include taxis, airport transfers, intercity buses and rent-a-car services, and parking management. Al Ghazal also runs bus services for corporate clients to provide staff transportation, and operates public bus services around the UAE. The company provides services round-the-clock and is managed by highly-trained professionals.
