While each year, the US world of fashion and celebrity turns its attention to the manufacturer's events in Los Angeles and Detroit, the GM Style Dubai event, this blue-ribbon, red-carpet show, will take place for the first time before a Dubai audience.

Never before has the city witnessed such a festival of glamour, style, excitement and high-fashion as will be on offer at the GM Style Dubai, a unique event that combines a bevy of A-list celebrities alongside some of the most beautiful vehicles General Motors has produced in its 100 years of design innovation.

For the first time, A-listers from the world of fashion, film, sport and music will gather with the automotive top table; GM cars share pride of place with icons of style, celebrity role models and the hottest properties in Middle East society.

The theme will be a fashion catwalk - after all, GM Middle East was the first to combine haute couture with car design at its launch of the stunning Cadillac Escalade alongside a specially commissioned Chrome Couture range from top-name Saudi designer Yahya Al Bishri, last year - and the celebrities will accompany the latest generation of glamorous GM vehicles along the red carpet.

GM has handpicked some of the biggest figures from showbiz and sport in the region, and will reveal these household names over the next month. Only celebrities with true star status have been invited.

Also on show are some of GM's most stunning cars, ranging from design classics, on loan from the personal collection of His Majesty the late King Hussein of Jordan, to examples of GM's vision of the future, like the Chevrolet Volt.

But, most importantly, an exceptionally worthy cause has been chosen to benefit from this salute to design and style. The Dubai Autism Center will benefit from ticket sales and fundraising activities. Chaired by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this charity provides much-needed resources to sufferers of autism, and is a charity close to the heart of GM Middle East. Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre and Vice Chairman of Dubai Autism Center is the patron of the event.

Celebrities have given their time to benefit this charity, and tickets to the event are by invitation only. An estimated 1,100 attendees will be present.

GM is a brand that consistently strives to raise the stakes of automotive design, and its partnership with the world of fashion and glamour is the perfect marriage of like minds.

All eyes will be on the Madinat Jumeirah, the perfect setting with its atmosphere and grace, to witness the excitement, high fashion and thoroughbred automotive style. With this iconic event, GM is proud to have broken down the barriers between fashion, couture, celebrity and automotive for the first time in this region.
