The company has also announced that it has strengthened its team in Dubai to include specialized recruitment consultants with expertise in the placement of FM and architecture & design professionals. The move follows the publication of an industry study, which predicted that the facilities management sector in the GCC is expected to reach AED 3 trillion within the next 25 years.

The company's participation in Cityscape Dubai 2007, the largest business-to-business real estate investment and development event in the world, being held from October 16 - 18, 2007 is in line with its regional growth strategy and goal to provide a strategic link between employer and employees.

During the show, consultants from Macdonald & Company will provide developers and industry professionals with insights on the latest market trends in addition to releasing the Middle East's first Salary Survey Guide for the property and real estate sector. With a view towards managing expectations on both fronts, Macdonald & Company will seek to tackle the growing demands of developers looking for quality professionals whilst also advising industry professionals striving to enter the Middle East market.

'Facilities Management is quickly becoming a focal point of the real estate market and the main reason for this is properties are now being completed thus requiring this type of service. Developers are also realising the importance of FM being included at the design phase therefore encouraging the need for more FM consultancies,' said Matthew Taylor, International Director, Macdonald & Company.

Macdonald & Company combines the expertise of its specialized recruitment consultants who have a thorough knowledge of the regional property & real estate landscape and an in-depth understanding of client and candidate expectations with a huge candidate database to provide creative and result-driven solutions.

As the only recruitment firm to be approved by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the company has established a name through its professionalism, confidential service and ability to recommend and adopt the most appropriate recruitment techniques in the market. Moreover, its database that encompasses over 60,000 people from across the globe ensures that its consultants provide intelligent advice in qualification and career development in the property realm.

'As a leading recruitment consultancy with a focus on providing effective solutions, we have a clear cut strategy to look into the needs of both developers and industry professionals. We anticipate that the demand for FM professionals will continue as developers and investors gain a greater understanding of the need to maintain buildings after completion, and we aim to raise greater awareness of these market trends through our participation at Cityscape Dubai 2007,' concluded William Buck, International Director, Macdonald & Company.

Macdonald & Company, which set up its offices in Dubai last year, has been working closely with a variety of clients including developers, consultancies, banks and financial institutions, and other industry players.
