Oman inflation hits 16-year peak

Annual inflation in Oman climbed to 6.47% in August, the highest in 16 years, due to rising food and housing costs, reported Reuters. The consumer price index rose to 111.9 points at the end of August, compared with 105.1 points a year earlier. Inflation in July was 5.98%.
