- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, October 09 - 2007 at 13:58
- PRESS RELEASE
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced two new certifications: Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix EdgeSight 4 and Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix WANScaler4.
The new EdgeSight and WANScaler certifications continue to expand Citrix's offerings for administrator-level professionals who help their organizations increase productivity and profitability in the face of organizational growth, diverse and distributed workforces, rapidly changing IT needs and increased application complexity. These offerings are the latest in a series of new Citrix CCA certifications including the CCA for Citrix NetScaler 8 and CCA for Citrix Access Gateway 8 Enterprise Edition, both announced earlier this year.
With this newest announcement, a total of seven administrator-level certifications will be available covering nearly every key point of presence in the Citrix application delivery model. Other currently available CCA certifications include the CCA for Citrix Presentation Server 4, CCA for Citrix Access Gateway 4 and CCA for Citrix Password Manager 4.
"Citrix's new EdgeSight and WANScaler CCA certifications allow administrators to maximize the performance, security and cost savings that Citrix technologies offer in complex environments," said Julieann Scalisi, director of Citrix Education, Citrix Systems. "The breadth of Citrix certifications allows administrators to gain and validate in-depth product knowledge in a world of increasing infrastructure complexity. Organizations are assured that their IT employees have mastered skills that bring the most value."
"Enterprises in the Middle East are actively seeking to enhance performance over WANs through the Citrix Edgesight and Wanscaler. As they strengthen access infrastructure, it is essential for organizations to build strong technical expertise and reinforce infrastructure management skills to support the expanding Citrix product line." added Antoine Aguado, Regional Manager, Citrix Middle East. "We have introduced the Citrix Certified Administrator™ (CCA) for Citrix EdgeSight 4 and Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix WANScaler 4 to train IT professionals to comprehensively manager our technologies, effectively deliver critical applications and enhance WAN application performance for remote users."
The CCA for Citrix EdgeSight 4 validates IT professionals' expertise in the product line that gives organizations unprecedented visibility into their application delivery infrastructures. The certification provides confirmation that professionals are prepared to meet the challenges of complex and variable environments that can make IT infrastructure performance extremely difficult to predict and control. Citrix EdgeSight 4 CCAs will have mastered technologies that give them extremely accurate and granular visibility into the various components of their organization's IT environment. In order to obtain the CCA for Citrix EdgeSight 4, candidates must pass Citrix exam 800, Citrix EdgeSight 4.5: Administration, Performance Monitoring and Load Testing. In addition, an instructor-led training course will be available to help candidates prepare for the exam. Both the course and exam are expected to be available within the month.
The CCA for Citrix WANScaler 4 validates that professionals are prepared to extend LAN-like application performance to branch office and mobile PC employees, dramatically increasing the speed at which applications are delivered and enabling mobile PC users to access applications from wherever they work without performance penalties. Candidates can obtain the CCA for Citrix WANScaler 4 by passing Citrix exam 740, Citrix WANScaler 4.2: Administration. An instructor-led training course covering best practices for administration and deployment of both the WANScaler appliances and WANScaler Client will be available to help candidates prepare for the exam. Both the course and exam are expected to be available in Q4 of 2007.
