Sukuk issues to rise after Eid

  • Thursday, October 11 - 2007 at 14:46

Analysts expect the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuks) to rise significantly after the Eid holidays and remain strong throughout the rest of the year, reported Bloomberg. The trend towards increased sukuk issuance is driven in part by attractive pricing for Islamic notes and wider spreads. Companies slated to issue sukuks over the next quarter include Omniyat Holdings, the holding company for Omniyat Properties, and Amlak Finance.
