Themed 'Jewels of Arabia', the challenge will take place in Jordan from 15th - 20th October 2007 and will bring together people from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, genders and age-groups for a common cause of controlling the spread of Diabetes by using the 'power of three - awareness, education and prevention.

A fleet of Land Rover vehicles comprising The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, LR3 and the LR2 vehicles were provided for the practice session and will also be driven during the Challenge.

Team members, also including a diabetic, received training from Land Rover to ensure that they are familiar and confident to make best use of the vehicles off-road technologies that will help them reach some of the remote and challenging areas they will visit.

The team drove across desert, wadi's and mountain terrains and was led by Julie Amer, Founder and Managing Director of Mountain High, a Dubai based company that encourages people to take charge of their health by being more active in the great outdoors and taking time out with nature.

Diabetes affecs nearly one in five of the total population in the UAE. The support for Mountain High's activities is part of Land Rover's ongoing commitment to encourage people to explore the outdoors and to spread the messages of health and adventure by 'stepping outside of their everyday limits for a good cause.
