While LG witnessed an impressive performance for all its segments, its mobile handset and digital display divisions outshone the rest with consumers buying its sophisticated products such as the Time Machine TV and the Shine and PRADA handsets. In the UAE, pre-Ramadan specials launched by LG during GITEX Shopper, which took place from September 6-13, saw brisk sales of its electronics products.
'Ramadan is an excellent time for consumers to explore great gift ideas for themselves as well as their loved ones,' explained Mr. K.W. Kim, President of LG Electronics - Middle East and Africa. 'Consumer electronics has always been a favourite gift idea in this region and we made it special this year with more innovative products and fantastic bargains.'
The digital leader also announced the results of the UAE raffle draw of the mega promotion that was initiated around a month ago for the Holy Month across three GCC countries - UAE, Qatar and Oman.
Buyers of LG products such as laptops, TVs, DVD players and mobile phones were eligible to enter into the raffle draw. Additionally, buyers of LG products at GITEX Shopper 2007, which was held at Airport Expo, Dubai, also participated in the campaign through LG's channel partners - Sharaf DG, Plug-Ins and Jacky's - who had their own stands at the event.
