Istithmar $3bn private equity

Dubai investment firm Istithmar has spent up to $3bn in private equity since it was set up in 2003, according to its CEO David Jackson and cited by Gulf News. Jackson said the portfolio was worth around $12bn and it does not include investments by Istithmar Real Estate which has about $8bn worth of additional assets under management. Jackson said Istithmar hopes to increase its assets by around 40% per annum.
