  • PRESS RELEASE

Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), which develops and manages the tourism assets of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), has released the latest night time artist's impression of the Cultural District of Saadiyat Island.

The project lies 500 metres offshore the UAE capital and is being transformed into a signature leisure, residential and cultural destination.

The Cultural District is to host the largest single cluster of world-class cultural assets including the Sheikh Zayed National Museum which is the subject of an international design competition, the Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, seen at the far left, and the Jean Nouvel-designed Louvre Abu Dhabi universal museum - the dome structure to the right, the Maritime museum designed by Tadao Ando and the Zaha Hadid designed performing arts centre.

Saadiyat Island, TDIC's flagship project, has recently been ranked one of the world's top 10 emerging 'trendy' destinations by the Wall Street Journal.
