Sun and Synergy outperform competition to lead within the financial services industry

With security at the forefront, and enhanced scalability a prerequisite, Pakistan's premier Islamic Bank have replaced its incumbent HP thin clients with Sun Microsystems' Sun Ray Ultra Thin Clients.

The bank replaced one hundred of its existing thin clients at its headquarters in Karachi and replaced them with SunRays after Sun and its partner ran a successful proof-of-concept. The proof- of -concept clearly demonstrated the superiority of Sun's solutions.

Through its SunRay thin clients and SunRay Server Software, Sun and Synergy were able to offer BankIslami a solution that reduced hardware and maintenance cost and also improved security and scalability. Flexible SunRay Server Software provided the bank with a much needed cost effective solution delivering a rich, virus-free virtual Linux desktop environment.
