Coca Cola has sponsored Tkiyyet Um Ali’s charity Iftar programme for one week, whereby it provides Iftars for 200 fasters for a whole week.
This cooperation comes to translate Coca Cola’s desire to participate in this charity endeavour that involves all segments of the Jordanian society, in a bid of support for Tkiyyet Um Ali’s programmes that lends a caring hand to the poor and needy.
Earlier at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Tkiyyet Um Ali announced its wish to strengthen ties with the private sector, and to implement the principles of social equality that HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein aspired to achieve by establishing Tkiyyet Um Ali, through a programme of Iftar sponsorships.
“Coca Cola continues to steer its social responsibility endeavours that enhances the build up of the civic society, in a bid to support the poor and needy. A fully comprehensive plan of well structured programmes is executed regularly throughout the year, and the Iftars programme is one of these programmes, that Coca Cola has adopted in this holy month in cooperation with Tkiyyet Um Ali. We would like to assert our full commitment to shoulder our social responsibility at all times,” said Amer Ahmad, Manager of Foreign Affairs and the Media, Coca Cola Middle East.
From his part, Mr Ihab Al Theeb, General Manager, Tkiyyet Um Ali said: “It is with pleasure that we are cooperating with Coca Cola, which reflects their keen interest to support the civic society, especially those who are deprived from basic necessities. We are confident that our partnership with Coca Cola is long term, and we’ll endeavour to work together in a bid to alleviate the suffering of the poor in Jordan.”
