Leading Monte-Carlo based interior designers to showcase their work at Index 2007

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 15 - 2007 at 12:01
  • PRESS RELEASE

Established and operational from the heart of Monte-Carlo over the last twenty years, djandji interior design, which makes its first appearance in the Middle East at Index 2007, has made its mark internationally, working on landmark projects that have attracted global industry interest and acclaim.

Carol Djandji and his team of dedicated professionals have undertaken interior design contracts for blue-chip organisations such as Christie's and Shearson Lehman Hutton, were responsible for the interior of the Cardio-Thoracic Centre of Monaco and have also been involved in the design of numerous fashionable boutiques and private residences.

"We are convinced that Index is certainly the best showcase for the Middle East," said Djandji. "And we are confident that our presence at the exhibition will open countless opportunities in this ever growing upper-end market - not only is it one of the most respected interiors events anywhere in the world, it also attracts the high quality decision-makers that we are looking to reach."

"Our stand is 100% custom made, and each and every element that we will be displaying has been specially created for the exhibition."

djandji interior design's research and development, using innovative materials and techniques results in a cutting edge design. The company is developing products using Corian®, a high density acrylic resin developed by Dupont de Nemours - Nomex, an extruded bee-hive also developed by Dupont, composite materials and foams, such as carbon-fibre and Airex as well as LED lights. They are also using a glass derived flooring developed by Trend - another very interesting light sensitive material that they will present at Index 2007 is Sensitile, an acrylic based product developed in Detroit.

Having acquired extensive expertise in the latest trends of design and architecture, the team at Djandji Interior Design is uniquely qualified to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of major renovations, partial decoration or basic refurbishment for both residential and commercial projects. Whatever your style, their European network of suppliers provides a wide variety of standard or custom-made furniture, appliances and soft furnishings, that are combined to deliver elegance, harmony and practicality in any location.

"The presence of respected interior designers such as Djandji Interior Design at Index further underlines the importance of the event," said Kim Willis, Exhibition Development Director of dmg world media Dubai, organisers of Index, which celebrates its 17th anniversary this year.

"The Middle East interiors market, which continues to grow in sophistication, demands the very best that the world has to offer, and we're delighted to be able to showcase interior design expertise that will help the region's professionals source creativity of a truly international quality."

The main strength of Index, its comprehensive coverage of all aspects of the interiors industry, is what has driven the growth and success of the show. The product profile includes furniture, textiles, flooring, wall coverings, window products, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, ceramics, interior architecture, accessories, interior design services and furniture production, making it an essential one-stop sourcing event for interiors professionals.

"Index is the largest and most essential meeting place for the interiors industry in the region, and globally acknowledged as one of the world's most significant interiors events," added Willis. "Its reputation has been built on the fact that we work continually with the regional industry, exhibitors from all around the world and the main trade associations to ensure that the show is always relevant. We are continually enhancing Index in line with the current requirements of the region and the business aspirations of our exhibitors, creating a forum that is uniquely positioned to generate business success."

Index 2007 takes place from 1-5 November at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
