Babcock & Brown expands presence in Middle East

International investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown (ASX:BNB) today announces the appointment of Sunny Singh and Simon Kinzett.

Sunny and Simon will join the Middle East team, working from the Dubai office and will focus on the development of opportunities across the range of Babcock & Brown disciplines of real estate, infrastructure and project finance, operating leasing and corporate and structured finance.

Sunny is an experienced infrastructure finance professional and joins Babcock & Brown from ABN AMRO where he was a senior director in the project finance and advisory team based in Dubai. Sunny has had extensive exposure to a cross section of infrastructure sectors - power and utilities, oil and gas, social and economic infrastructure and PPP projects in Middle East and Asia. Prior to moving to the region, Sunny was based in Singapore and India.

Simon joins Babcock & Brown from ADCB Macquarie based in Abu Dhabi where he worked on a broad range of infrastructure and corporate finance transactions throughout the region. Prior to his time with ADCB Macquarie, he worked in private equity in the Middle East and Australasia where he worked on numerous transactions covering a broad range of industries and also focused on capital raising in the Middle East. Simon has also previously worked for JP Morgan Chase and Company and Credit Suisse based in London.
