Efijy, Volt, Aero X, Camaro and Eldorado, tread the catwalk at GM Style Dubai

Some of General Motors' most iconic vehicles are set to arrive in Dubai to appear at the first-ever Middle East edition of the GM Style event.

Taking place at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena on November 11, GM Style will pitch the carmaker's brands on a catwalk alongside some of the biggest names in film, music and sport.

In pride of place will be the radical Chevrolet Volt concept. After having impressed the auto industry at all the major motor shows this year, GM's vision of the future of greener motoring, the Volt will arrive in the Middle East for the first time, as will the celebrated Holden Efijy and Chevrolet Camaro concepts.

The Efijy hails from GM's Australian wing and is well known as an exercise in design, performance and fun; the Camaro, meanwhile, is a modern interpretation of one of the most iconic Chevrolet designs to date. After a grand appearance in Transformers, the movie, the Camaro is all set to wow audiences at the GM Style event.

Other big-name GM vehicles will be on display, including the brand-new Saab 9-3 convertible, Cadillac Escalade Middle East Special Edition, Chevrolet Lumina CSV CRS and Hummer H3 Open Top. The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado will also make a grand appearance at the show.

The GM Style event has been a mainstay of the Detroit Motor Show, with stars such as Jay Z, Eva Longoria, Justin Timberlake, Carmen Electra and Matthew Perry having appeared there.

"This event is a tribute to style and a celebration of GM's design renaissance," said Terry Johnsson, President, General Motors Middle East Operations. "GM Style will bring a unique perspective to the trend setting, fashionable city of Dubai, integrating the worlds of fashion, automotive design and entertainment. GM's vehicles will take their rightful place on the runway along side some of today's top names in fashions and entertainment."
