National Properties presents fresh view on luxury living

Luxury living is more about creating sustainable, high quality environments that offer rest and recreation, empowering people to own such residences and enabling them to achieve their aspired status of living through property ownership, Adel Ahmed Lootah, CEO of National Properties said at the Cityscape conference today.

"Luxury need not be an intermittent experience; it can be constant and more importantly, affordable," Mr Lootah said during his presentation on "Is affordable luxury possible?"

Mr Lootah pointed out that the accumulation of wealth, rise of the affluent middle class and the race to market premium goods and services have lead to an aspirational mindset among residents in the region.

"Quite simply, the size of our wallets does not match the size of our aspirations. So we have identified a need - of matching aspired luxury to the rational reasons for owning a home. Affordable luxury is the solution.

"It may sound a misnomer, but a superior customer experience offered from plan to delivery of the property, safe environment, quality amenities and professional management that maintains value of property is what differentiates affordable luxury from high cost luxury," added Mr Lootah.

Mr Lootah also pointed out that the success of Skycourts, the maiden development initiative from National Properties, proved that there is a huge demand for the concept of affordable luxury in the region. Skycourts, considered the first large-scale commitment to providing high quality dwellings at an affordable price, was sold out in the six days when it was launched last year.

"Our second development, Flamingo Creek, which we unveiled yesterday at Cityscape, will also provide high quality living, in unique surroundings, at an attractive price," concluded Mr Lootah.
