Discovery announces short film to be screened at The Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF)

Discovery Networks in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), a division of the number-one non fiction media company Discovery Communications, today announced their delight at having a new short film included in the selection for screening at the Middle East International Film Festival in Abu Dhabi which takes place between the 14th-19th October.
Donald Harding, Managing Director, Don Productions - the producers of the film - added:
"It was a fantastic experience working with an internationally acclaimed brand like Discovery Channel. We are looking forward seeing Desert Heat and other films on Discovery Channel".
The Festival, hosted by the Authority for Culture and Heritage in Abu Dhabi, is a cultural event celebrating cinema, dedicated to bringing a diverse slate of international films to the community and to introducing filmmakers from around the world to the resources of the region. Over the six day period The Middle East International Film Festival will present a diverse slate of regional and International films, with an emphasis on emerging artists.
The short film, Desert Heat, commissioned by Discovery Networks Europe and featuring two young Arab men with passion for Hip-hop, was selected from over 700 entries to be included in the schedule. It was screened before the feature film I Love Hip Hop In Morocco on the 15th and 16th of October.
In addition to Desert Heat's inclusion at the festival, Discovery Networks Europe will also be hosting a media screening in Dubai on the 21st October which will include screenings of Discovery's other short films.
