UAE press freedom improves

A new report has found that the UAE is among nine Arab states to have improved its status regarding press freedom this year, reported Gulf News. The report, issued by Reporters Sans Frontieres, said the UAE was promoted to 65th position this year, compared to 77 in 2006. The index measures press freedom in 169 countries around the world.
