Qatargas gives speech at Paris Gas Summit

The International Gas Summit is an annual conference which draws together industry, government, non-government organizations and interested parties to discuss issues and challenges facing the gas industry.

In his speech Mr. Al Suwaidi talked about what security of supply and markets is generally and for Qatargas, the model for successful growth in the energy arena and how Qatargas has approached it and the progress of Qatar and Qatargas is making towards enhancing energy security for consumers worldwide.

Talking about energy security Mr. Al Suwaidi stated that both sides, consumer and producer, have a role to play in enhancing energy security for their respective markets or countries. As well, Qatargas has a positive role to play by the increasing the amount of liquefied natural gas available to supply energy to different markets.

In talking about Qatargas' expansion plans he also touched on the less recognized benefits including increasingly energy efficient plants, ships and terminals that will deliver a greater percentage of the produced gas to the customer.
